Here are five Dharma talks Reverend Master Zenshō has offered on The Shushōgi, which is  a primer on Zen written for lay followers in 1890 as part of a outreach to bring Soto Zen teachings to a wider audience.

The talks are entitled:

     1:  Introduction

     2: Contrition

     3: The Precepts

4: The Mind of the Bodhisattva

     5: Gratitude

The next Dharma talk discusses the Scripture of Avalokiteshvara and begins with the question “Who is Jiji Bosatsu?”  Moving from an understanding of Jiji Bosatsu as a sort of Saint Everyman who speaks for all those who hear the Scripture, Reverend Master proceeds to unfold valuable insights into the Scripture’s meaning and its ongoing relevance for practitioners.
